This performance will feature sparse but powerful arrangements of two acoustic instruments and harmony vocals, creating a sound that is once familiar to old time country and modern Americana.  With a broad canvas of original songs, Truckstop Souvenir takes the listener on a journey along roads less traveled.  Member Dennis James has family roots right here in Lapeer.

This tour de farce was written by Jaston Williams, Joe Sears and Ed Howard.  What do Arles Struvie, Thurston Wheelis, Aunt Pearl, Petey Fisk, Phineas Blye and Rev. Spikes have in common?  They are among the upstanding citizens of Tuna, Texas’ third smallest town, in this hilarious send up of small town mores, and they are all played by two actors!  In this Off Broadway hit two actors create the entire population of Tuna with quick change artistry, both of costumes and comic characterizations.  Starring Craig S. Martin and Bryan Day.

The Blackriver Bluegrass Boys

February 9, 2008 with a 7:30 pm Curtain

Tickets:  $12

The best way to describe this concert is hot pickin’ on a cold night.  It took a little work, but we finally got this group to play the PIX.  The ‘boys” are based in Sanilac County but have played all over the state.  This group is loved by everyone who is lucky enough to attend one of their concerts.  So join Gary Koester, Barry Brinker, Gary Trigger, Tim Brown and Ron Patten as they heat up the PIX.
